Join Morrow Mountain State Park’s Friends Group as they lead a hike along Sugarloaf Mountain Trail. The hike will ascend the park’s second highest peak, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside during winter months. This rugged trail covers approx. 2.8 miles and will take about two hours to complete. The park’s unique natural and cultural histories will be discussed.

This trail is rugged, rocky and steep in places. Hiking boots or shoes, water and snacks are highly recommended. Dress appropriately for the weather, which can vary greatly at this time of year. Meet at the parking lot for the Sugarloaf Mountain Trailhead (also the parking lot for the Bridle Trailhead) at 10:00 a.m.
