Owens Tract

The Owens Tract was protected via fee-simple acquisition in December of 2001. The 14 acre property was funded by the N.C. Clean Water Management Trust Fund as a portion of the Grant’s Creek Project. The bottomland hardwood ecosystem provides an important buffer along nearly 1,800 feet of Grant’s Creek. It also serves as a connector to other protected properties.
