Mountain Creek

Paddle on Mountain Creek, down to the Pee Dee River and Grassy Islands and back

Primary Route: Put in on the NCWRC boat access at 2063 Grassy Island Rd, Ellerbe, NC 28338 and paddle downstream along  Mountain Creek,  to the Pee Dee River and around some of the Grassy Islands, then return to the access.
Distance: Dependent on how much you explore
Put In and Take out: 2063 Grassy Island Rd, Ellerbe, NC 28338

Directions: Put in on the NCWRC boat access at 2063 Grassy Island Rd, Ellerbe, NC 28338 and paddle downstream along  Mountain Creek, explore various coves and paddle down to the Pee Dee River and around some of the Grassy Islands, then return to the access. If you want, you can also paddle upstream for a short ways up Mountain Creek.

Special Instructions: Pay close attention to where you have come from and where you are going, as it is possible to get turned around in some of the tributaries and coves in this area.
