A Toast to Clean Waters and Local Conservation!
It’s Turkey Lurkey Time here at the TRLT office, and we’re kicking off the holiday season with a festive twist: the TRLT Tropical Turkey holiday cocktail! This sweet, tropical, bubbly cocktail is the perfect way to make your North Carolina Thanksgiving a little more lively. This surprising cocktail combines local ingredients that embody seasonal flavors with a summery kick- the Talon Tropical Seltzer from local North Carolina brewery, New Sarum Brewing Company. No matter how you’re celebrating this holiday season, this quirky cocktail is sure to add some extra fun to your festivities this year!
It may seem unlikely- but did you know there is a connection between local land conservation and the beverages you enjoy during the holiday season? Good local beer (or local seltzer!) comes from clean local water. Permanently conserving land along local rivers and streams provides clean drinking water, protects aquatic species, and provides opportunities to swim, paddle, and fish. As we celebrate the holidays in North Carolina, don’t forget to raise a glass for local conservation!
New Sarum Brewing Company in Salisbury is a perfect example of how clean water drives local industry. New Sarum relies on pure, fresh water to create their beer and seltzers, like the one used in this holiday cocktail recipe. Supporting the conservation work done by TRLT ensures that future generations can enjoy the same clean water and local favorites that we do today!
