Annual Meeting at Cooleemee Plantation

Annual Meeting at Cooleemee Plantation

Picturekat

The Land Trust for Central North Carolina Board and Staff cordially invite all Land Trust members to our Annual Meeting on June 8th, 2014. This year we are kickstarting our 20th year of The Land Trust at the site of our very first conservation easement, at the historic Cooleemee Plantation in Davie County.  The protection of this significant site served as a great foundation for the many years of conservation work that has been ongoing ever since, culminating in more than 24,000 acres by the beginning of this, our 20th year. The easement donation at Cooleemee was made by the Peter Hairston family.

Our annual meeting is a yearly gathering of Land Trust members with a short business meeting including updates from the previous year and the nomination and approval of new board members.

This year’s meeting with begin at 2:00pm and will be followed by refreshments and a tour of the Cooleemee plantation house and grounds.

This year we will also recognize past board members and outstanding volunteers for their dedicated service to The LandTrust and our mission of saving the places we love in the Piedmont of North Carolina.

To RSVP please email or call Joe Morris at joe@landtrustcnc.org or 704-647-0302. We hope you will join us for this great event.

Cooleemee Plantation is located at 419 Peter Hairston Road, Advance, NC 27006.
