Uwharrie Baby Timber Rattlesnakes

Check out a few pictures taken yesterday by LandTrust staff of some baby timber rattlesnakes (Crotalus horridus). These little guys are  just a few days old and were found in a barn located on a rocky mountainside on a conservation property in the Uwharries.  Female rattlesnakes typically have between 5 and 14 young, which are born live, and they only give birth once every other year.
