The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs.  Achieving accreditation is a significant milestone.

The LandTrust for Central North Carolina has been serving the lower Yadkin – Pee Dee region since 1995 conserving land and historic landmarks in a ten-county region.

The leadership of the LandTrust for Central North Carolina – a broad cross section of citizens from its ten-county region in the Yadkin-Pee Dee watershed – have come together to offer reasonable, attractive options to landowners who want to save their lands for future generations to enjoy. Its mission is to work thoughtfully and selectively with property owners to preserve the lands, vistas and the essential nature of its region. Accreditation marks a significant achievement, establishing a level of standards and professionalism to ensure the sustainability of its work.

The Commission invites public input and accepts signed, written comments on pending applications. Comments must relate to how The LandTrust for Central North Carolina, Inc. complies with national quality standards. These standards address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust.
