Hike to the top of Morrow Mountain
Primary Route: Start on Sugarloaf Mountain Trail until it intersects with Morrow Mountain Trail, hike Morrow Mountain Trail to the summit

Trailhead: Horse trailer parking lot on the right of Morrow Mountain Road (SR 1798), before you reach the road intersection. Click here for a map of the park that includes the parking area and trails.
Hiking Directions: From the horse trailer parking lot, begin headed east on Sugarloaf Mountain Trail. Soon there is a fork in the trail. Sugarloaf Mountain Trail is a loop – take the right fork to go counterclockwise on the trail. Cross over the road. Continue on the trail until it intersects with Morrow Mountain Trail, and turn right. Hike to the summit of Morrow Mountain Trail and visit the scenic overlook, then continue around the Morrow Mountain Loop. Hike back down the Morrow Mountain Trail until it rejoins with Sugarloaf Mountain Trail, and turn right to continue around the Sugarloaf loop. You will also hike to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain Trail here. Take the first left to continue on Sugarloaf Mountain Trail and return to the parking area.
Alternative Route: Hike this loop starting from the left fork in Sugarloaf Mountain Trail; this route is less steep than going counterclockwise. Continue on Sugarloaf Mountain Trail, and turn right to continue on the trail towards Morrow Mountain Trail. Turn left onto Morrow Mountain Trail, climb the mountain to reach the loop at the top. Visit the scenic overview, continue around the loop and back down the trail to meet back up with Sugarloaf Mountain Trail. Turn left onto Sugarloaf Mountain Trail to return to the parking area.
Additional Information: Hiking or trekking poles could be useful for this route as there is significant changes in elevation during certain portions of the hike.
